Terms of Service
Use of this website and any of the features within signifies an acceptance of the site terms and conditions. It is asked that each user carefully reads these terms before creating an account, as you are responsible for following any and all guidelines set by the administration of Daylightpets. We withhold the right to alter, modify, change, or edit at any time, these guidelines and rules, at the discretion of the administration with zero notice. It is your responsibility to remain up to date on any and all changes to the terms, and continued use of the site signifies acceptance of these changes.
Age of Use
Daylightpets is a site largely directed at individuals age thirteen and above. However, individuals below this age are more than welcome to access the site. In order to comply with the United States' Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), all individuals aged 12 and under are required and gain parental permission before accessing the site. Parental permission can be gained by filling out a simple form here, and emailing it to adminsupport@daylightpets.com immediately after creating an account.
Data Collection
Daylightpets collects a limited amount of information in order to differentiate users, as well as help protect the site and its users. The data we collect is as follows:
We collect an e-mail address for the purposes of tracking the number of accounts created by a single individual, as well as a way for the user to regain access to their account. Daylight pets will never contact you by way of the email address given, except when contact is requested.
We collect the users date of birth in order to comply with COPPA, and ensure whether or not parental permission is required. (Any user found to deliberately mislead daylight administration regarding date of birth at the time of account creation with the intent of evading the age restriction shall have their account suspended immediately and without notice.)
The IP address used by each individual user is collected and stored in order for administration to help protect the site, and easily locate anyone who may be cheating, or causing damage to the site and its properties. At no time will the personal information gathered by Daylightpets be shared with any outside parties. It is gathered and used solely for the purposes of managing the site and is accessed by admin only. Daylightpets cannot be held responsible for any incidents which may occur due to the collection of this data. Account creation signifies that any and all data collected has been given voluntarily with your consent.
Online Safety
Daylightpets strives to invoke a family friendly atmosphere for all of its users, and takes the security of all its users seriously. As such, Daylightpets does not require users to submit any personal information such as: location, gender, real name, or any of the like. We strongly encourage users to not give such information out to anyone onsite.
Copyright
All content in and of Daylightpets.com and related to Daylightpet's pets, NPCs, or concepts is solely the property of daylightpets.com. This includes derivative artwork, written works, pet colorations, and suggestions and ideas made by and for daylightpets.com. You may display your pets on your own personal websites so long as there is a clear ©daylightpets listed on the image and a direct link to daylightpets.com. We take the protection of our copyright very seriously. If we discover that you have used our copyright materials in contravention of the license above, we may bring legal proceedings against you seeking monetary damages and an injunction to stop you using those materials. You could also be ordered to paylegalcosts.
Misc Daylightpets is under no obligation to compensate players for any lost items, which includes, but is not limited to, game currency, accounts, or pets, due to, but not limited to, downtime or in-game glitches and/or the events that a player is temporarily and/or permanently removed from daylighpets for any reason. Purchases made from the cash shop and money spent for the acquisition of premium account privileges are non-refundable.
