What is Daylights Pets?
Daylight Pets is a virtual pet site. Remember those hand-held tamagotchis you used to play with? We're like that, but better. Daylight Pets is a virtual community, with an economy and an ever expanding plot. We aim to be both entertaining and educational, as well as a completely unique gaming experience.
Cruithne, what is that?
The game is set on Cruithne (sometimes called Earth's second moon) though it is not turning out to be at all like telescopes and satellite images have shown.
How do I make a pet?
If you've just signed up, you should see an event box on the top of every page with a link to the create a pet page. If you've since released your pet, then you can create a pet here. Alternatively, you can try and capture exclusive pets here.
How do I make money?
Cruithne's economy is new and a bit unsettled. What else could you expect from a brand new settlement? Money can be made in several ways, buying and selling items, playing games, doing quests, referring new people, voting for us using the links on the left, collecting bank interest and many more ways!
What else is there to do?
We also have an active forum, a battle centre, a friend system, the option to personalise your profile, avatars to collect and display, beanies to collect and display, places to explore (Sector One and Harena's Pyramids) and lots more in the pipe line.
What does beta stage mean?
Being in beta stage means that we're still working out the tweaks of the site. We admit there's still errors and bugs, but we're working on them. We rely on you guys to point out errors so that we can fix them.
I've noticed something that isn't working right, what should I do?
We have a dedicated forum for reporting bugs, alternatively you can message to any admin on the site, or email to adminsupport@daylightpets.com
Are you currently accepting job applications?
We are indeed! We're looking for artists to draw pets, items and more, as well as php coders to help develop new areas of the site. (But generally people to work for free!)
My item didn't work, what do I do?
If you have bought an item, e.g. a health potion, food, weapon etc, and it hasn't worked. If you can prove it, e.g. screenshots etc. then message 'Shadowmage' with information about it and we'll see what we can do.
Another user's pet looks different to mine, but is the same species?
This is because they have put a ribbon on their pet. These ribbons cause your pet to look different, e.g. Blazing Ribbons make your pet become surrounded by fire. There is a list of all current pet looks here.
Why didn't I receive a trophy for collecting beanies?
At the moment the beanie trophy system is not working as well as hoped, but we're looking to fix it very soon!
